Meet Dr. Kendall VanHorne
Kendall VanHorne, DDS
Dentistry is a very rewarding profession because it allows me to be a part of the lives of many families in my community. I get to watch kids grow up, become young adults, get married, and have children of their own. I enjoy being a part of my patients’ lives and hearing about their activities outside the office. I love that my patients entrust me to take care of their overall health. With such trust, I become like a trusted family member to many of them.
Education and Continuing Education
I began my undergraduate education at Michigan State University and graduated with my Bachelor of Science degree in Human Resources Management from the University of Idaho. I completed my dental education, earning my Doctorate of Dental Surgery, at Loma Linda University in Loma Linda, CA.
In order to create the most beautiful smile for each patient I see, I have to stay current with the newest and most effective technology and techniques. I take several classes a year that cover a variety of topics in dentistry, including Invisalign®, restorative and cosmetic treatments, and implants, just to name a few.
My Team
The North Spokane Family Dentistry team is made up of some amazing individuals. Our hygienists are two of the highest caliber professionals I have encountered. They are thorough and extremely compassionate towards our patients. My assistants are really great at making patients feel at ease and comfortable in the dental chair. They are great at getting to know our patients and how best to handle their concerns and treatment. My front desk personnel is very proficient and yet fun-loving at the same time. I truly appreciate the work they do in making our office a comfortable place for patients from the first time they call.
Outside the Office
I am proud to be a Spokane native and practice high quality dentistry in the community where I grew up. My wife, Jana, and I have one lovely daughter, Karalina, as well as a chocolate Lab named Sadie, and Sissy, the neurotic cat. Whether I am hiking, camping, snow or water skiing, or traveling, I enjoy spending much of my free time outdoors. Most of all, I love being with my family and friends.
In my community, I stay active by participating in Give Kids a Smile Day, donating time and money to numerous charities, and being a member of NASDAD, the National Association of Seventh Day Adventist Dentists.
